A Fairy Tale hotel stay
"Scenery, Children facilities, proximity to Phoenix Ski Park. Sledding at night when all are in your chalets was a dream for the 4 of us... at the end of a full ski/snowboard day. Difficult to fault this place... It is targeted at the Korean market, and specifically families with younger children. There were free magic shows, lots and lots of outdoor facilities and games which the kids could do for free or for a small fee... and best of all, a free and impressive fireworks display on Saturday night. Arriving at night, it was enchanting to find this place! Rooms are pretty basic, no plates, dinner knives nor forks... no big saucepans to cook with...basic utensils provided, only small bowls and chopsticks and Korean metal spoons. But no issue for us, it was all part of the charm of being in Korea! Who needs the boring, predictable international hotel chains?! Delighted all in all. "

Got smaller room than what reserved
"originally booked a room for 8 people but ended up getting 2 double beds and one mattress in a room. Only one bathtub with no shower curtain making the tiles super messy and cold. Tho there are two toilets. The heater didn't work very well, we had to wait around 3 hours til it's warm. "

Excelllent service and reception very flexible!
We stayed at the Elf Pension for 1 night and it was fantastic!! The view from our balcony was great. They have an onsite restaurant which serves lovely hot chocolate, the shop also sellls everything you need, the rooms are well equipped, the hotel is also not too far from Pheonix park resort, only 3km about 10 mins ride in a taxi. The reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly and were very flexible with our arrangements. I hightly recommend booking this hotel based on comfort, convenience, service and location.

Will return again!
We went in winter and our room was further up from the reception. So we had to pull our luggage uphill in the snow. :( But we loved everythig else! bfast was sent to to every morning. The little shop beside the reception had everything instant that you can cook in your room. Even sanitary pads for the women! And they also arranged for us to go to Phoenix Park! It was too too cold for us but theres an area where you can waddle in 5 inch sniw and play sled and stuff.
Pulling heavy luggage uphill in yhe snow. If you drive then its not an issue.

A cosy & quiet white Christmas!
"Hotel has a fairy tale like exterior. Rooms are clean, cosy & well equipped. Kitchen utensils & appliances are sufficient. 2) Excellent service. 3) Quiet & fun winter wonderland. This is one good pension I'll love to recommend to people! Though this is a pension catered more to families with young children, it is a perfect place to spend a cosy & quiet white Christmas. Not much entertainment for adults. You can't ski over here. However, surrounded by snow mountains, the view here is simply breath taking! One can sleigh, play with snow and visit the mini animal farm. I'll like to take this opportunity to thank the team manager, Austin, and his team for their patience to answer to all our queries and request. All thanks to them, my family of 6 have spent a cosy & quiet white Christmas with ordered delivery of fried chicken & somaek (Soju mixed with beer) bought from their convenience store. We've also played fireworks. It is indeed an unforgettable stay at the pension! "

Just Beautiful!
The scenery is just beautiful. Covered in snow and icicles, it was stunning. Staff were helpful, with good English at reception, assisted with giving directions to travel by local buses to Busan - it was actually very easy!. Room was fantastic - very warm even though below minus 10 degrees outside. Loved the heated floors. We had a family room with 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. No restaurant on-site, but you can eat at the staff dinner which is a traditional Korean buffet, or order a BBQ pack and do it yourself on your balcony. If you want to ski, the hire place at Phoenix Park will pick you up, organise ski rental and lift passes, and drive you back. We had trouble finding an ATM that would accept foreign credit cards and the ski hire people drove us to one, and also a supermarket on the way back to the hotel. Wish we had of stayed longer here. Price was excellent, easy trip from Seoul on the Phoenix Park express bus (8000 won each). From there, it was a taxi to Elf Pension. Wish they had a shuttle bus to pick you up from the bus, but other than that, we cannot fault them!!

Great getaway from th city
Elf Pension is pretty near the Phoenix Ski Resort. They linked up with a nearby ski shop and was able to provide pretty competitive prices for ski package. It was a really good break to getaway from the city life.
the only drawback is the lack of food options. I had to cook every day for dinner.
